I am a huge fan of Musclebound, as it greatly expedited the installation of the backsplash in my kitchen, as well as the tile in the bathtub surround of my guest bathroom. NO MESS! It sticks beautifully to sheetrock and cement backerboard and makes tile installation quick, painless, and foolproof. HOWEVER! It will not work on Schluter’s Kerdi Board (which I just learned the hard way). Carla from Musslebound’s customer support stepped in and very generously offered me a refund for those roles of Musselbound that would not stick to the Kerdi Board. I am so glad we gave this a try! We used it for glass tiles in our kitchen. The adhesive is super strong and seems like it’s gonna hold up well over time. The only downside was that once I placed a tile, it was very difficult to change placement. It immediately stuck. We’ll be using this in our bathroom next. — Amanda 8/2/19
It has been 2 years since I used this product for adding ceramic tile to the wall above a shower in our home. It is easy to work with. Follow the directions closely and all should go well. At least it did for me. It has been 2 years and the wall still looks great! Even if I have to say so myself. 😉 — Steadfast1 9/13/19
After debating for a while I decided to install the kitchen backsplash myself and using this product made it so much easier to install the tile. I have to say that I was a little nervous at first because I did not want to ruin my wifes kitchen but after setting the first sheet of tile on the mat… boy I was impressed by how good it holds on to the tiles. I don’t understand why people are giving it such bad reviews. This product works great!! No problems whatsoever just remember to clean and prep the surface real good before laying the mat, I believe that’s the secret! — Hercules1987 7/31/16
I was looking to install a glass mosaic backsplash in one of my bathrooms. I was grabbing all the mortar etc when I noticed this on the shelf and thought no mixing no mess and I can grout when done which saves me time. So I took the chance and it was great. I simply rolled it on the wall and cut where I needed to. As far as the glass tiles they stick and you can pull them off if you need to reset, keep in mind no wiggle so know your tile application. I slapped them all on, and broke out my grout, let it sit for 6 hours then sealed. It has been almost a year now and they are holding strong. I think this is a great product all around. Now I only used this for a small backsplash in my guest bathroom. Application area was approximately 6″ x 48″ but it worked wonderfully. The strip had to be cut with a chop saw but was not too difficult to do. It went up on the wall very easily and the tile went on it very easily as well. This would probably be a costly option on a larger area but for my needs, it was money well spent. — slgger 4/24/18
This product allows you to skip the tile set/mortar mess and get right to the application. It was easy to apply and seems to have good adhesion. You can adjust the tiles if you do it before you press them into the foam. I would use this again for wall application in non-shower areas. — barndobuilder 11/8/21
