I am so glad we gave this a try! We used it for glass tiles in our kitchen. The adhesive is super strong and seems like it’s gonna hold up well over time. The only downside was that once I placed a tile, it was very difficult to change placement. It immediately stuck. We’ll be using this in our bathroom next. — Amanda 8/2/19
I saw Mussel bound on an episode of This Old House. I have set plenty of tiles over the last 20 years and thought to give this a try. Watched a couple videos, read the directions and away I went. Started my first piece of mat in an easy area to apply to, got a feel for it, and from there out was a piece of cake. Half an hour later I was setting the backsplash. I made sure to press firmly once I had the tile exactly where I wanted it and was convinced they would never move. Immediately after that I applied the grout. Fast and Easy and I have never had a job with minimal clean up (nice to not have mastic all over the place) and out the door in the same afternoon! Will be using again. — Andy June 30, 2018
My Tile Man didn’t get back to me in time so I decided to DIY my laundry room. My sister told me about this product and it was so incredibly easy. I didn’t have a lot of cuts to do so it was pretty straightforward. The learning curve is that once the tile is down it’s really really hard to re adjust. But once you get the flow of things I was able to tile my laundry room in a couple hours and I grabbed that evening it looks incredible and it was a mess free and I saved a bunch of money. — Andréa 1/19/22
Now I only used this for a small backsplash in my guest bathroom. Application area was approximately 6″ x 48″ but it worked wonderfully. The strip had to be cut with a chop saw but was not too difficult to do. It went up on the wall very easily and the tile went on it very easily as well. This would probably be a costly option on a larger area but for my needs, it was money well spent. — slgger 4/24/18
We did a lot of research as first time tilers and really wanted a product that was easier to use than the thin mastic and this product was it!!! If you follow the instructions and take your time you will have ZERO issues!!!!! We are grouting tomorrow and I am just entirely IN love with our backsplash!!! I did a side-gig backsplash and decided to try this adhesive mat to reduce the total job time and limit the number of visits to the house. Wow, this was fast and clean! I had the stove pulled out, set the tile, immediately grouted that area, and put the stove back in place right away. How awesome is that! Like any product we have to live with the portions they are sold in. But I do wish there was at least one more option larger or smaller. I needed 18sqft, the roll is only 15sqft, but the extra money for a second roll was worth it. – My own house will need 34sqft. — StephensAJ 2/19/18
This product allows you to skip the tile set/mortar mess and get right to the application. It was easy to apply and seems to have good adhesion. You can adjust the tiles if you do it before you press them into the foam. I would use this again for wall application in non-shower areas. — barndobuilder 11/8/21
