What grouts may be used with MusselBound?
MusselBound is compatible with any grout.
What is the minimum grout area thickness?
Grout spaces must be a minimum 1/16 inch (1.5mm) for individual tiles or the spacing as provided in a mosaic sheet.
How long after setting tile must I grout?
May be grouted immediately after setting tile or recommended within 24 hours. MusselBound is a pressure sensitive adhesive so there is no time waiting for the adhesive to cure like with traditional mortar.
Do I really have to grout within 24 hours?

We recommend that you grout within 24 hours, however, if are CERTAIN that you have followed installation instructions fully: surface and tile are CLEAN and THOROUGHLY DRY and have been FIRMLY pressed the tile to fully activate the strong bond, may grout as soon as you are able, typically the following weekend. If not grouting within 24 hours, tiles should be FIRMLY pressed in place AGAIN before grouting. Your project is complete when you’ve grouted.
Can I use MusselBound with groutless tile?
We do not recommend using MusselBound with stacked tile or tile that doesn’t require grout. Cured grout stabilizes the entire project. Your project is complete when you’ve grouted.
How do I replace a tile that has been grouted?

There are two methods. May use a rotary tool to carefully remove the grout around the tile to be replaced. Then use a putty knife or flat screwdriver to pry the tile up. Put a fresh piece of mat onto the replacement tile and set the new mat to the remnants of the mat that is on the wall. If do not have a rotary tool, may use a hammer to crack the tile into pieces and remove the tile pieces. Then use a putty knife the scrape away the grout. Replace with new tile as described above.
