Just completed our second project with MusselBound. Used it before on a smaller project for a bathroom sink, back splash and loved it. This time we decided to take on the kitchen, in addition to not having the mess and extra work of mixing and applying mortar, the newly included spacers made this bigger project much easier. Tile looks great, and was simple and easy to do.

I am so glad we gave this a try! We used it for glass tile in our kitchen. The adhesive is super strong and seems like it’s gonna hold up well over time. The only downside was that once I placed a tile, it was very difficult to change placement. It immediately stuck. We’ll be using this in our bathroom next.

Just purchased a house and kitchen needed an update and new backsplash. Saw this product at Lowes and wanted to complete project over weekend. Had picked up some tile with mesh back which was easy to cut and adjust. Musselbound worked great. Was easy to use and being not so handy was great to not have to mix any mortar. Product applied to kitchen wall easily and was able to grout tile right after. Musselbound was easy to cut to work around electrical outlets and had project finished in just a few hours.

I saw Mussel bound on an episode of This Old House. I have set plenty of tile over the last 20 years and thought to give this a try. Watched a couple videos, read the directions and away I went. Started my first piece of mat in an easy area to apply to, got a feel for it, and from there out was a piece of cake. Half our later I was setting the backsplash. I made sure to press firmly once I had tile exactly where I wanted it and was convinced they would never move. Immediately after that I applied the grout. Fast and Easy and I have never had a job with minimal clean up (nice to not have mastic all over the place) and out the door in the same afternoon! Will be using again.

We were in the process of installing deck wood tile on my balcony. I have a rental. Well, I ran out of them and I had to finish it quickly so I bought another brand which meant I had to remove each piece of wood individually and somehow adhere it to the cement so that it would match the rest of the tile ( I included pictures). Anyway, it worked fabulously and this is outside! I would definitely recommend this product. Get it to get the job done. If you look at the photo, it’s the lower right where we had to use this awesome product. Happy DYI’ing!

So we decided to do another room. I wanted to test musselbound again but this time with brick like tiles with no mesh backing. We put the musselbound right over the old wall paper and so far so good.

I was hesitant to use this product at first, but I REALLY hate the mortar stage of laying tile so decided to go for it. IT’S AWESOME! Just make sure you read all directions before you begin, and make sure your knife is new and you have extra blades in case they dull. Also, PRESS VERY HARD once you are sure the position of the tiles are correct. I did my kitchen and bathroom with this and am about to use it again on a new house.

Used this for the first time to install backsplash in the kitchen. Works great, but make sure you have a good idea where you want the tile to go because once you put it on it is virtually impossible to get it off without tearing the mat. Will use this again when I tile around the stove.

My wife wanted to change our back splash. I’m not very handy and the idea of mixing mortar and spreading it out scared me. I checked out the instructions and web site and decided to give it a try. It is easy to use and the tile spacers worked great. It might cost a little more than mortar but it was easy and much cleaner to use. I was also able to grout right away which was great. I recommend this product to anyone that has a tile project.

Just did a 45 sq ft subway and mosaic stone backsplash. Came out great. Did bathroom about 7 years ago, still looks awesome.
