Used this for a kitchen backsplash a week ago and found it incredibly easy to use! Was able to grout the same day. It was a “reveal” for my daughter-in-law so imperative that it get done one day so I could caulk the next before she got home! So far, so good and it’s still up and she loves it!

I am so glad we gave this a try! We used it for glass tiles in our kitchen. The adhesive is super strong and seems like it’s gonna hold up well over time. The only downside was that once I placed a tile, it was very difficult to change placement. It immediately stuck. We’ll be using this in our bathroom next.

I am a huge fan of Musclebound, as it greatly expedited the installation of the backsplash in my kitchen, as well as the tile in the bathtub surround of my guest bathroom. NO MESS! It sticks beautifully to sheetrock and cement backerboard and makes tile installation quick, painless, and foolproof. HOWEVER! It will not work on Schluter’s Kerdi Board (which I just learned the hard way). Carla from Musslebound’s customer support stepped in and very generously offered me a refund for those roles of Musselbound that would not stick to the Kerdi Board. Exemplary customer support, and an extraordinary product. There is nothing better for walls.

I utilized the tile mat for a glass tile mosaic back splash. It was very easy to use and made placing the tiles a breeze. I followed the instructions and ensured the wall was clean then began adding the mat and tile. Since I’m only doing pieces at a time I wait to add the adhesive to the wall till I’m ready to add the cut tile then put it all up and grout it. It’s easy to cut and place around outlets and corners and there’s no mess from mortar. It’s been up for a week and is still holding strong!

Easiest way to put up tile without the mortar. I had no problem with it not holding, like I did with another competitor’s product from Home Depot. It’s easy to work with, and does exactly what it is supposed to do, the first time. You won’t be disappointed.

I saw Mussel bound on an episode of This Old House. I have set plenty of tile over the last 20 years and thought to give this a try. Watched a couple videos, read the directions and away I went. Started my first piece of mat in an easy area to apply to, got a feel for it, and from there out was a piece of cake. Half our later I was setting the backsplash. I made sure to press firmly once I had tile exactly where I wanted it and was convinced they would never move. Immediately after that I applied the grout. Fast and Easy and I have never had a job with minimal clean up (nice to not have mastic all over the place) and out the door in the same afternoon! Will be using again.

Used this for the first time to install backsplash in the kitchen. Works great, but make sure you have a good idea where you want the tile to go because once you put it on it is virtually impossible to get it off without tearing the mat. Will use this again when I tile around the stove.

You have to take your time working with it but once you get the hang of it it goes pretty fast. As of right now it is still holding good, we haven’t had a chance to put the grout on yet.

Put it on the wall and used a small rug roller to insure that the backing was securely on the wall. After the tile was installed, did the same thing to insure that the tiles were set and would not fall off.
