We wanted to tile the face of our fireplace and unfortunately, no one wanted to take on a small job so we decided to try this. Worst case scenario we rip it off and just keep waiting until we could find somebody. It was so easy! It adhered to our cement board no problem and it gave us the luxury of doing the project in segments because we weren’t working with something that dried. Have to say, we did an amazing job-our install looks better than our backsplash done with the same glass tile by a professional. Have used the fireplace many times and it has held up beautifully! Will definitely use this product again.

Very sticky stuff! My glass tiles have a mesh backing and it did pretty well holding the groups of tiles in place. The only time I struggled was when the back of the tile was only partially covered with mesh and the tile was small. I had to tear off the mesh. You have to be REALLY careful when sticking the tile into place and make sure you use spacers otherwise good luck ripping the tile off the wall and moving it.

I utilized the tile mat for a glass tile mosaic backsplash. It was very easy to use and made placing the tiles a breeze. I followed the instructions and ensured the wall was clean then began adding the mat and tile. Since I’m only doing pieces at a time I wait to add the adhesive to the wall till I’m ready to add the cut tile then put it all up and grout it. It’s easy to cut and place around outlets and corners and there’s no mess from mortar. It’s been up for a week and is still holding strong!

Used this to lay new tiles over existing ones around our fireplace. We used 6×6″ tiles that were about 1 pound each. It was pretty easy to reposition the tiles when we needed to, until that point you pressed them down. then it is fairly difficult to budge them (but that is the point of the matting, to hold them in place) It worked very well for our application but I can see how it might be difficult to get this matting set in place when its not a long, straight and equal size surface.

This product allows you to skip the tile set/mortar mess and get right to the application. It was easy to apply and seems to have good adhesion. You can adjust the tiles if you do it before you press them into the foam. I would use this again for wall application in non-shower areas.

Easy to use. Not forgiving once the tile is firmly pressed on. Make sure you wipe down your walls and let it dry before you apply a bonding mat. Same for your tile wipe and let dry completely. Use a degreaser type cleaner around the wall stove area. Look for waves in your wall and fix before you start. Apply bonding mat from top to bottom, not parallel to your counter top. This is not like using thin set, where you can adjust the tile after it is placed. When setting tile, use light pressure on corners to adjust as necessary. Once it is where you want it press firmly and pray you don’t have to remove it. This stuff is sticky and bonds well.

I was looking to install a glass mosaic backsplash in one of my bathrooms. I was grabbing all the mortar etc when I noticed this on the shelf and thought no mixing no mess and I can grout when done which saves me time. So I took the chance and it was great. I simply rolled it on the wall and cut where I needed to. As far as the glass tiles they stick and you can pull them off if you need to reset, keep in mind no wiggle so know your tile application. I slapped them all on, and broke out my grout, let it sit for 6 hours then sealed. It has been almost a year now and they are holding strong. I think this is a great product all around. Apologies some pics are sideways, it seems to happen when they upload and I can’t rotate them upright.

After debating for a while I decided to install the kitchen backsplash myself and using this product made it so much easier to install the tile. I have to say that I was a little nervous at first because I did not want to ruin my wifes kitchen but after setting the first sheet of tile on the mat… boy I was impressed by how good it holds on to the tiles. I don’t understand why people are giving it such bad reviews. This product works great!! No problems whatsoever just remember to clean and prep the surface real good before laying the mat, I believe that’s the secret!

I used this to tile a wall inside a small storage area. It made the project amazingly easy and neater than dealing with thinset would’ve been. Once you place the tile, you have a brief period of time where it can be repositioned. After that, it is secured firmly in place. After grouting the tile, you’d never know that it wasn’t placed with traditional materials. This product is a great option for small projects!

We took a chance on this after we saw it on display at our Lowes. We were there to pick up mastic for a backsplash tiling project. The customer service rep told us it was a good product, but you had to be very careful when you put your tiles on because the adhesive was very sticky and might be hard to reposition. He was not joking, but we were able to do our entire job in only a couple of hours versus an all day job using the traditional way of installing. We were also able to immediately grout without waiting 24 hours. All in all we were extremely happy with our experience using this product.
