I am so glad we gave this a try! We used it for glass tiles in our kitchen. The adhesive is super strong and seems like it’s gonna hold up well over time. The only downside was that once I placed a tile, it was very difficult to change placement. It immediately stuck. We’ll be using this in our bathroom next.

We did a lot of research as first time tilers and really wanted a product that was easier to use than the thin mastic and this product was it!!! If you follow the instructions and take your time you will have ZERO issues!!!!! We are grouting tomorrow and I am just entirely IN love with our backsplash!!! I will be using MusselBound for all future projects!!! Totally worth the difference in price!

Highly recommend, 10 star for me! This is like the most awesome product for me as a woman and a first timer, I’m glad they made something like this you can work at your own pace, with no mess and no rushing! I would definitely will buy more for future projects.

I utilized the tile mat for a glass tile mosaic back splash. It was very easy to use and made placing the tiles a breeze. I followed the instructions and ensured the wall was clean then began adding the mat and tile. Since I’m only doing pieces at a time I wait to add the adhesive to the wall till I’m ready to add the cut tile then put it all up and grout it. It’s easy to cut and place around outlets and corners and there’s no mess from mortar. It’s been up for a week and is still holding strong!

Wanted to update my mom’s old 70’s back splash. Went to Lowe’s to look for tile and found a great mosaic ~ only problem was I had never tiled before. Sales guy told me about Musselbound because it would be easier, save steps of figuring out mortar, and I wouldn’t have to take down the old laminate back splash. It was so easy to work with and by choosing a mosaic with a mesh on the back, I could cut most everything with scissors or a utility knife. Someone who has tiled before could have probably done it in one day, ~ took me two. Could grout as soon as tile was up. Great stuff!

READ THE DIRECTIONS. Can’t stress that enough. Musselbound is waterproof, which makes it a no-brainer for countertops and backsplash. The long roll is easy to put down in one continuous piece. I also bought a cheap $90 Skil wet saw for my project. I did a total of 5 countertops – one of them an L shape bar – over 3 days. Had never set tile before but I’m handy and determined so decided to go for it. The results are gorgeous. Definitely on an island top you need to carefully practice the layout because both edges are exposed – you don’t want it to look uneven. Product is expensive compared to thin set mortar but way cheaper than paying a professional to install the tile. Be sure to wipe the backs of the tiles and allow ample time for drying. Also – its worth attending the free tile classes at Lowe’s or their competitor before installing tile for the first time.

This is a fast way to complete a back splash. I just wish it came in a larger roll as an option. I’ve tiled over a backsplash using this without a challenge.

We were in the process of installing deck wood tile on my balcony. I have a rental. Well, I ran out of them and I had to finish it quickly so I bought another brand which meant I had to remove each piece of wood individually and somehow adhere it to the cement so that it would match the rest of the tile ( I included pictures). Anyway, it worked fabulously and this is outside! I would definitely recommend this product. Get it to get the job done. If you look at the photo, it’s the lower right where we had to use this awesome product. Happy DYI’ing!

So we decided to do another room. I wanted to test musselbound again but this time with brick like tiles with no mesh backing. We put the musselbound right over the old wall paper and so far so good.
